Integrating Elavon Payment Processor

Introduction

The Elavon Payment Processor enables iVendNext users in the USA and Canada to accept secure credit/debit card payments—including contactless NFC transactions—directly through POS terminals. This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for setting up Elavon, mapping it to your POS, and troubleshooting common issues.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue

Solution

Elavon not appearing at POS

Ensure it’s added to the Payment Template and enabled.

"Device Not Found" error

Verify the Device ID is correct and the reader is connected to the POS.

Declined transactions

Check Elavon merchant account status or test with a different card.

Best Practices

🔹 Regularly reconcile Elavon transactions with bank deposits.
🔹 Train staff on handling card errors (e.g., "Insert Card" vs. "Swipe").
🔹 Audit logs in Home > Accounting > Payments for discrepancies.
