iVendNext Foresight - Demo Script (Full)

iVendNext Foresight - Demo Script (Full)

11.1 The pitch (45 seconds, memorise)

"Most retailers we meet share three pains: they stock out of the wrong items, they sit on too many of the right items, and finance forecasts cash in spreadsheets. iVendNext Foresight adds three prediction engines (stock, sales, and finance) on top of the data you already capture in iVendNext. There is nothing to install; it is part of your iVendNext platform. It works from day one, sharpens over the next 90 days, and reaches 75–85 % forecast accuracy once warm. Today I will show you what it already sees in your data, and how it would have prevented your last few stock-outs."

11.2 Positioning

Customer says

Position Foresight as

"We need AI."

Practical, built-in prediction. Not a science project.

"We tried spreadsheet forecasts."

The forecast that survives staff turnover and runs while you sleep

"We've seen big enterprise planning suites."

The right-sized option, native to iVendNext, with no integration

"We don't trust algorithms."

A recommender that drafts orders but never submits them. You stay in control.

11.3 Preparing the demo (the day before)

You will demo on one of two things:

  • The customer's own evaluation tenant (preferred), with at least 3 months of their sales and stock history; or

  • A pre-loaded iVendNext demo tenant: request one from the iVendNext team, seeded with sample items, customers, sales, and stock so that every screen renders.

Before the demo, in the tenant:

  1. Make sure Foresight is enabled and forecasts have been generated.

  2. Identify one Fast Moving item with a reorder alert (for the auto-PO story).

  3. Identify one item set to Critical with zero stock (for the alert story).

  4. Identify one high-value customer with a strong sales forecast (for the dashboard story).

  5. Confirm the Sales Dashboard and the Consolidated Insights report both render.

  6. Confirm the Sync Log shows a recent successful run.

Tip: if a report shows a "sample data" view, tell the audience up front: "this is illustrative; once we generate forecasts on your data it will show your numbers."

11.4 The 60-minute walkthrough

Time

Section

Do

Say

0–5

Hook

Open a recent stock-out example

"Last quarter you lost X to stock-outs. Here is how we prevent the next one."

5–10

Settings

Walk the Foresight Settings tabs

"This is where the rules live: confidence threshold, sync frequency, alert recipients."

10–18

Inventory forecast

Open a Fast Moving item, run the forecast, explain each output

"13 units a day, 400 over 30 days, reorder at 280, suggest 600 on the next PO."

18–22

Auto-PO

Enable auto-PO, show the draft

"A draft. The buyer reviews and submits. Speed without losing control."

22–30

Sales forecast

Open the Sales Dashboard, filter to one customer

"Your top customer: 18 units next month, ₹8 100, low churn, strong cross-sell."

30–38

Financial forecast

Create a cashflow forecast, show liquidity and the alert

"June looks healthy, but liquidity is near the warning line. Finance gets an email if it crosses."

38–45

Reports

Consolidated Insights, Revenue Trend, Risk Dashboard, System Health

One report, one decision: where to reorder, where to push sales, where the risk is, and whether the system is healthy.

45–52

Accuracy

Open Forecast Accuracy and the accuracy report

"Every prediction is graded after the fact. The system learns where it was overconfident and self-corrects."

52–60

Q&A and close

Capture customer-specific questions

"What is the one number that tells you 'we're good'? That is what we will configure first."

11.5 Talking points by capability

Stock-outs: "Today your reorder level is a static number set long ago. Foresight recomputes it every night from actual consumption. When demand grows 15 % in a quarter, the reorder level grows with it, automatically."

Confidence: "See the 78 % confidence here. That is the system saying 'fairly sure, but review before acting.' Below your threshold, we suppress auto-reorder. The threshold is yours to set."

Auto-PO drafts: "We deliberately do not auto-submit purchase orders. The system drafts; your buyer approves. Speed without losing control."

Accuracy: "Every forecast is compared to actuals afterwards. If the system was confident but wrong, that calibration error surfaced. It is honest about what it does not know."

Multi-company: "Every prediction carries the company. Run separate forecasts per entity, and consolidate on one screen. Cross-company data leakage simply cannot happen."

11.6 What NOT to demo

  • Don't promise "85 % accuracy on day one." Promise "within 90 days."

  • Don't open accuracy reports on a brand-new tenant with no actuals. Empty rows look weak.

  • Don't trigger an automatic Sales Order submission live.

  • Don't dwell on any model that isn't part of the customer's plan.
