iVendNext Foresight - Considerations & Current Limitations

iVendNext Foresight - Considerations & Current Limitations

This is honest, professional framing for the consultant. Share the relevant points with customers during the blueprint, so there are no surprises.

What to know

How we handle it

Warm-up period

Forecasts need around 90 days of history to reach the quoted accuracy.

Set expectations; run alongside the current process during warm-up.

New items

Items with no history cannot be forecast and are marked Critical.

Manage them manually for the first 90 days.

Movement thresholds

Sales movement classification is derived from predicted quantity and is not customer-tunable today.

Flag in blueprint; raise an enhancement request if a customer needs custom thresholds.

Sales forecast regeneration

A full regeneration rebuilds the live sales-forecast list; history for comparison lives in the Accuracy records.

Use the Accuracy reports for historical comparison, not the live list.

Auto-SO

Keep auto-Sales-Order off until forecasts are proven, then pilot narrowly.

Follow the standard roll-out guidance in Section 11.3.

Advanced models (Prophet, LSTM-class deep learning)

Some advanced models are on the roadmap; confirm availability before committing to a customer.

Position as roadmap; demo only what is live.

Report visibility

A small number of reports may need role assignment to be visible to end users.

The consultant assigns report access during configuration.

Sample-data views

Some reports show illustrative data on empty tenants.

Explain during demos; it is replaced by real data once forecasts run.

None of these require customer infrastructure work. They are configuration and expectation-setting items that the consultant manages during implementation.
