This article covers sales basics and advanced features to help you get the most from your gift card.
Selling a Gift Card in iVendNext follows the same steps as selling any item through the POS system. Use the steps below to complete the process.
Navigate to: Home > Retail
Click on the iVendNext POS shortcut to open the POS transaction screen.
There are three ways to search for items on the POS screen:
Item Search Bar
Search by code, description, or barcode.
Item Search Tile
Opens the item list view screen.
Barcode Scanner
Automatically adds the scanned item to the transaction grid.
Searching for “Gift Cards” will return all relevant products and display their corresponding item codes.
Once a Gift Card is selected:
The system will prompt for a Gift Card Serial Number, which is unique for every issued card.
To record the transaction under a customer’s name:
Add the customer using the Customer Search Tile.
Two types of customers:
Existing (already registered in the database)
New (first-time walk-in)
Search filters include:
Customer Code
Customer Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Use the Item Edit Tile to:
Change quantity
Adjust price
Apply discounts
Click Quick Cash to continue.
Confirm with Yes on the popup screen.
Choose the desired payment mode.
If payment exceeds the total:
The system shows the balance to be returned.
This change will be printed on the receipt.
The receipt is printed automatically using the connected POS printer.
Finally:
Click on New Transaction to start another sale.
